Common Faucet and Sink Problems We Handle
Small faucet and sink problems can lead to water waste, cabinet damage, or bigger plumbing issues if ignored. We commonly repair:
- Constant dripping or leaks around the faucet base
- Low water pressure or weak flow
- Loose handles or faucet fixtures
- Corrosion or hard water buildup
- Leaks under the sink or around connections
- Loose or poorly mounted sinks
Repair or Replace? We’ll Help You Decide
Not every faucet problem requires replacing the entire fixture. Depending on the cause, we may be able to replace a worn cartridge, seal, supply line, connection, or another damaged component and keep the existing faucet in service.
We start by identifying where the water is coming from and what is causing the problem. Once we know what needs attention, we’ll explain the repair options and provide clear pricing before the work begins.
If the fixture is heavily corroded, repeatedly leaking, or no longer worth repairing, we’ll let you know when replacement makes more sense. Our goal is to solve the problem without recommending work you don’t need.
Professional Faucet and Sink Repairs
Leaks around sinks and faucets can damage cabinets, countertops, flooring, and surrounding materials if water continues escaping unnoticed. That is why we look beyond the visible drip to determine where the leak actually starts.
Our licensed, bonded, and insured plumbers work carefully around your cabinetry and fixtures, use quality replacement parts, and clean the work area when the repair is complete.
P&L Plumbing has served Mesa and the East Valley since 1989. We combine that experience with transparent flat-rate pricing, clear communication, and a satisfaction guarantee on our work.
We Also Handle Fixture Upgrades
Sometimes replacing an aging faucet or sink is the better option, especially when the fixture is corroded, outdated, repeatedly leaking, or no longer works the way you want it to.
We can remove the existing fixture and install a replacement in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry areas, and other locations throughout the home. If you’ve already purchased a compatible faucet or sink, we can install customer-supplied fixtures as well.
During installation, we’ll make sure connections are properly secured, the fixture is sealed correctly, and everything is operating as it should before we finish.

Great company and great prices. The owner, Kevin, is also a stand-up guy and really looks out for his customers (especially ones that know nothing about plumbing like me). These guys will be my new plumbing company going forward!Posted on Google![]()

Had P&L out for a leak from the washing machine into the drainage pipe in the wall. Kevin took care of it efficiently and told me everything he did. We had him out for a new water heater last year and previous leaks. I always ask for him by name. Thanks guys!Posted on Google![]()

This was the first time I've called P&L Plumbing. I decided to try them after reading reviews on the company. Kevin came over and assessed my situation. I didn't end up needing a plumber, but if I do in the future, I'll be calling P&L and asking for Kevin. He seemed very knowledgeable and wasn't at all high pressure, trying to sell me something I didn't need. Thank you Kevin and P&L!Posted on Google![]()

Given my ignorance, Kevin could have performed and charged me for a big ticket job, but he notice the P-drain was dry and had me pour a couple cups of water into it to stop the bad smell. He was a real pro!Posted on Google![]()

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my faucet keep dripping after I turn it off?
A faucet that continues dripping often has a worn cartridge, washer, seal, valve component, or another internal part that is no longer closing properly. The exact cause depends on the faucet design and its condition. We can inspect the fixture and determine whether replacing the failed component or the faucet itself makes more sense.
Is it better to repair or replace a leaking faucet?
Repair often makes sense when the faucet is in good condition and the problem involves a replaceable component. Replacement may be the better choice when the fixture is heavily corroded, has recurring problems, replacement parts are unavailable, or the cost of repairing it approaches the cost of a new faucet. We’ll explain both options when applicable.
What causes water to leak underneath a sink?
Leaks under a sink can come from several places, including supply lines, shutoff valves, faucet connections, drain fittings, seals, or the sink itself. Because water can travel along pipes and cabinets before it becomes visible, the wet area is not always directly beneath the source.
Why does my faucet have low water pressure?
Low flow from one faucet may be caused by mineral buildup, a clogged aerator, a problem with the cartridge, or a restriction in the fixture or supply connection. If low water pressure affects several fixtures in the home, the problem may be elsewhere in the plumbing system and require further evaluation.
Can you install a faucet or sink that I purchase myself?
Yes. We can install many customer-supplied faucets and sinks as long as the fixture is appropriate for the existing setup. If modifications or additional parts are needed for installation, we’ll explain that before proceeding.
Can a slow sink be caused by the faucet or sink itself?
A slow-draining sink is usually related to the drain rather than the faucet. Hair, soap residue, grease, food debris, or buildup farther inside the drain line can restrict flow. If the issue is a clogged drain rather than the fixture, we can recommend the appropriate drain cleaning service.
Why is water leaking around the base of my faucet?
Water around the faucet base can come from worn seals, loose mounting hardware, damaged internal components, or water traveling down from another part of the faucet. We can determine whether the fixture can be resealed or repaired or whether replacement is the more practical option.
